April 11th I Magnify I An elevated watercolor workshop
Magnify
Hidden in plain sight - an elevated watercolor exploration of nature’s patterns.
Saturday, 4.11 Doors Open 5PM | 5:30PM Start
2-Hour Immersive Watercolor Workshop
Under Karl Blossfeldt’s lens, ordinary plants become monumental, revealing patterns, textures, and shapes often overlooked. Spirals, symmetry, and repeating forms transform stems, buds, and seed pods into sculptural art, magnifying the hidden architecture of nature.
In this workshop, Brooklyn-based artist Claire Wilson-Oghedo will guide you in translating Blossfeldt’s botanical magnifications into watercolor.
You’ll explore the bold shapes, intricate textures, and repeating patterns that define his work, using layering, controlled washes, and fine detail to capture both precision and personal expression. With Claire’s warm, encouraging guidance, you’ll feel free to experiment, slow down, and let your own creative interpretation flourish.
Honor Collective transforms into an atelier for the morning. Step into a conscious and curious space that invites wonder: candlelight shimmers across a tablescape of Honor Collective’s signature vintage silver, where palettes, brushes, and watercolor supplies are thoughtfully curated for each participant. Intimate, tactile, and luxe, the environment turns creating art into a fully immersive, memorable experience.
What’s Included:
-All workshop materials (watercolor paper, watercolor paint palette, photos of inspiration, brushes, pencil, eraser)
-Moon-Harvested Botanical Tea
-Chilled refreshments
-Signature Adaptogenic Herbed Spiced Nuts
-Smudge Studio Hand Painted postcard
Your finished work is yours to take home - a personal exploration of nature’s hidden design.
