Midori Spring Matcha Whisk

$19.00

This beginner-friendly matcha whisk is designed to make the ritual both beautiful and effortless. Simple in form and natural in feel, it balances quiet aesthetics with everyday functionality.

Handcrafted from aged bamboo, the whisk features 80 finely curled prongs, thoughtfully shaped to create a smooth, foamy matcha. The prong count is ideal for both thick (koicha) and thin (usucha) preparations, allowing for versatility within your practice.

Each whisk comes with a branded cardboard sleeve for easy travel and gentle storage. Due to the natural qualities of bamboo, subtle variations in color and texture are part of its character.

While not every whisk is made by Takayama masters, each piece is selected for quality, durability, and ease of use — a dependable companion for daily matcha moments.

How To Use:

It's all in the wrist! When whisking Matcha and water together, loosen your wrist, and move the Chasen in a M- or W-motion. Try not to scrape the bottom of the bowl or cup (it may wear out your chasen). The key is consistency and a steady motion. It takes practice to become a tea master, but luckily we don't need such high appraisal to enjoy Matcha on a daily basis!

Before First Use:

It is highly recommended to soak the top of your Chasen (tines facing down) in warm water for at least a few minutes. This will help with the elasticity and prolong the Chasen's life span.
